Kiran graduated in 1990 from the University of Nairobi. He joined Haven Veterinary Surgeons in 1992 after achieving his MRCVS by examination. On joining the practice he developed a special interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Driving this discipline forward over the years has given us the ability to offer a wider range of surgical procedures to our clients. Kiran and his wife have two cats; Wacko and Eva and two dogs called Nancy and Tippi.
Marina Bors MRCVS
Having qualified in Romania in 2015. Marina wanted to become a vet because she enjoys working with animals and helping people. She spent years working in Romania. She has just recently joined the Haven Vets team.
Dr Alexandra Craciun MRCVS
Alexandra graduated from University 'Spiru Haret’, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest in 2016. She has worked as a veterinary assistant since 2011 and later on multidisciplinary centres. She is still searching for a field to specialise in as they all attract her, equally. Alexandra loves cats very much and she is very interested in understanding and gaining knowledge of their behaviour. Alexandra has two cats of her own, in Bucharest, which she has taken care of since they were a few days old.
Ricardo Figueiredo MRCVS
Ricardo finished his degree in 2007 at Lisbon’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He spent two years working in Portugal and then decided to move to England. Ricardo worked in a small animal practice in Kent for two years before joining us in September 2011. He enjoys travelling and has two cats (living with his mum in Portugal).
Dr Ingrid Gelhart MRCVS
Ingrid graduated in 1988 from the University of Munich. She then worked in a mixed animal practice for six years, until the birth of her son. Ingrid then graduated to the Dr of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. In 1994 she joined a small practice in Germany where she worked for 10 years. Ingrid joined Haven in April 2008. She enjoys working in England.
Emily James BVSc MRCVS
Emily graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010. After three years in mixed practice in South Norfolk she moved to Haven in November 2013 and has particular interest in medicine and is currently studying towards a postgraduate certificate. In her spare time Emily enjoys walking her dog, shopping and travelling.
Dr Vaggelis Kanellos MRCVS
Vaggelis joined Haven in October 2016. He graduated in July 2016 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, graduating with a distinction in the top 10 of his class. He spent three years as a veterinary assistant in a referral centre in Athens, Greece. After which he decided to move to the UK and joined our practice. Vaggelis has a keen interest in orthopaedics and exotic animals. His current pet is a Boa Constrictor, which he hopes to bring to the UK very soon.

Visiting specialist – Dermatologist
David is our specialist consultant dermatologist, he visits the practice twice a month. He also has his own practice in Norwich.
